My first ever released tune on vinyl

I was doing some re-organization of my studio and found this small piece of personal history. It’s my first ever released tune on vinyl. Rolling 303 was released on Jungle Voodoo Recordings back in 2000. I can’t believe that’s 12 years ago and how far along I’ve come as a producer. I can’t believe it got released considering how simple and how bad the mixing was. The flip side is a tune by Grizzly, a good friend of mine who passed away in 2003 after year-long battle with cancer. My thought is always with you brother!

Digital Ivy’s Light Waves Invasion (Random Remix) is out now!

Javabass Recording’s latest release, Digital Ivy – Light Waves invasion EP is out now. Additionaly, the lead track ‘Light Waves Invasion’ is selected as this week’s featured drum’n’bass track at Trackitdown. This release also backed by a remix from me. So get them now while it’s hot!

Digital Ivy made successful debut with a track titled ‘Waiting For Something’ in Javabass Recordings’ compilation ‘Homegrown 2 EP’. Now he follows it up with his first proper release titled ‘Light Waves Invasion EP’. The lead track ‘Light Wave Invasion’ is a deep chilled out tune with laid-back attitude and dreamy vocal delivery from Miranda Rae. This track is also backed with remix from Random, turning it into an uplifting and club friendly tune that stays true to the original’s dreamy vibe. ‘Power Amplifier’ is a straight up tech roller and ‘Shockwave Breaker’ is another tech roller that twist you in and out as if you’re being pounded by endless incoming waves. Keep your ears open as more great things are coming from this young producer.

Random & DTX – Analog Science / Losing My Mind is out now!

Two of Indonesia’s most respected producers Random & DTX join forces to deliver 2 slamming tunes. ‘Analog Science’ is a techno induced track utilizing 808 drums, squelching techno sound and hard charging in your face synth before dropping into all out techno anthem dead smack in the middle. ‘Losing My Mind’ is an uplifting tune with huge chords, epic piano, searing lead, soulful vocal and nice half tempo beats right after the drop. These guys are bound for big things in 2012.

Javabass Recordings New Release: Audesine & Rustique Kollektiv

Two new releases from Javabass Recordings came out simultaneously today. The first one came from London based Indonesian producer Audesine. Lazer Sight & Descent both are bouncy electrostep based beats overlay with haunting vocal & javaneese ethnic instrument samples. Definite unique sound.

The second one came from Jakarta based Live PA trio, Rustique Kollektiv. Waktu means “Time” a more deep bouncy jump up oldskool break cuts with simple electro & ethnic lines, then Serigala or “Wolf ” open with little bit of drumstep then rolling to faster amen breaks and both overlay with their signature the out of tune drunk vocal. Its raw at its gets with Jakarta street style..

You can get them both on Beatport here and here.
